Hybrid monetization.

Combining in-app purchases, ads and sometimes subscriptions in one game, with each value exchange routed to the player moment where it fits.

Hybrid monetization is not the same as installing every format. Adding IAP, rewarded video and interstitials without routing logic can simply create more ways to interrupt the same player.

The useful question is which value exchange belongs in which moment: an optional recovery after a meaningful failure, a convenience purchase for a player who has invested, a clean exit instead of a last-second ad. Each should be tested for incremental value and for player cost, by cohort, against a baseline.

Hybrid-casual games made this model mainstream by adding meta-progression and IAP to ad-funded casual loops.
