Postback.

A server-to-server message reporting an install or event to an ad network or MMP, used for attribution and for optimising campaigns.

Postbacks close the loop between what happens in the app and the systems buying traffic. Ad platforms’ algorithms learn from them, so their accuracy and timeliness shape campaign performance. Under SKAdNetwork, postbacks are delayed and aggregated, which slows this learning on iOS.
