Definition

Starter pack.

A discounted first-purchase offer designed to convert a non-payer into a payer, usually shown early in the player’s life.

Starter packs lower the barrier to a first purchase, since players who have paid once are much more likely to pay again. They are typically priced low with high perceived value.

Their performance depends heavily on timing. Shown before the player has built attachment to characters, collections or progress, they underperform regardless of price. The best signal for timing is engagement data — retries, return visits, progress — not a fixed session count.
