Definition

Scale ceiling.

The spend level beyond which additional acquisition no longer earns an acceptable return — set by audience, creative and the product’s ability to hold marginal users.

Every product hits a point where the next block of spend reaches less responsive or less valuable users. Past it, marginal ROAS falls below target even if blended ROAS still looks healthy.

The ceiling is not fixed. Better retention, stronger monetization, new creatives and new markets can raise it — which is why it is as much a product question as a media one.
