Event fatigue.

The declining response to repeated LiveOps events as players tire of similar formats or the calendar becomes a chore.

The first events of a format usually lift engagement and revenue the most; repeats deliver less. Fatigue shows as falling participation and shorter post-event retention.

Varying formats, spacing events, and designing clean exits — so the end of an event does not feel like a loss — all help. So does asking what each event is for, rather than filling the calendar.
