How do you decide which events are worth it?
- Go for meetings, not talks. Book meetings before you travel; most value happens off-stage.
- Match the event to the goal. Hiring, fundraising, publishing deals, UA partners, or learning.
- Budget for side events. At GDC and Gamescom, the most useful conversations often happen at partner events.
- Follow up within a week, with one specific next step per conversation.
